Discovery Semiconductors Coherent Receiver Lab Buddy has been designed with laboratory convenience and modulation format flexibility in mind. DP-16QAM, DP-QPSK, Intradyne, Homodyne, and Heterodyne are all possibilities currently available to the end user.

The Coherent Receiver Lab Buddy works seamlessly as a universal front end with different instruments such as storage scopes, sampling scopes, custom ADC + DSP boards, among other things.

DP-16QAM and DP-QPSK Constellations

The Lab Buddy includes four well-matched Linear Balanced PIN/TIA Photoreceivers with adjustable gain and bandwidth, integrated with a Dual-Polarization 90° Optical Hybrid in a bench top, Lab Buddy instrument, with the RF outputs being provided via eight female K connectors on the front panel.

As technology is constantly advancing, please contact us for your custom needs including even higher-level modulation formats.
