Legrand’s DPC division receives ISO27001 certification

April 23, 2024
The information security certification covers the company’s software and firmware.

The industrial group Legrand announced on April 23 that its Data, Power, & Control (DPC) division has achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification—an information security standard.

The certification covers the protection and security of Legrand’s software and firmware for connected devices, embedded systems, and IT systems developed in its Somerset, New Jersey; Reno, Nevada; Canonsburg, Pennsylvania; and Zwickau, Germany DPC R&D centers and includes Raritan, Server Technology, and Starline brands.

The company reports that, in addition to achieving the 114 process controls required for ISO27001 certification in its engineering group, it adheres to other NIST and ISO standards and incorporates additional vulnerability and penetration testing for its network-connectable products.

Legrand’s North American vice president of software excellence, Adam Murano, said in a press release, “Cybersecurity issues are a key and growing area of concern for the markets we serve. During the product evaluation phase or through customer security audits, we’ve seen an increase in security-related inquiries. Legrand is proud to go above and beyond when it comes to device security.”
