Liquid Intelligent Technologies completes Mauritius Telecom T3 submarine cable installation

The four-fiber-pair T3 submarine cable features a design capacity of 13.5 Tbps per pair, which equates to a system capacity of 54 Tbps.

Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a business of Cassava Technologies, says it has completed installation of the Mauritius Telecom T3 submarine cable between Mauritius and South Africa. The subsea cable landed at Liquid’s facility in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban.

The four-fiber-pair T3 submarine cable features a design capacity of 13.5 Tbps per pair, which equates to a system capacity of 54 Tbps. Liquid expects the submarine network to enable faster and more reliable internet services between South Africa and the Indian Ocean islands, leveraging on Liquid's 110,000 km of fiber backbone in Africa, as well as foster economic growth.
