Feb. 20, 2024
As the provider's third business acquisition, this provider said this deal will enable it to serve small business customers more effectively.

EarthLink has purchased QX.net, a Kentucky-based fixed wireless internet provider in a bid to expand its business services and product portfolio.

QX.net has been serving thousands of enterprises across Kentucky’s Bluegrass region for over 20 years. The operator of Kentucky's largest dedicated wireless internet network has brought unique connectivity solutions, including internet, voice, data center, and SD-WAN to businesses across industries.

The acquisition takes effect immediately, setting the stage for EarthLink's continued growth through organic and strategic expansions.

QX.net is one of three broadband wireless providers EarthLink has acquired over the past year. Glenn Goad, CEO of EarthLink, said that the combination of QX.net with One Ring Networks and Telegia, QX.net “will allow us to expand our offering and bring personalized internet services to businesses across Kentucky."

John Jenkins, President of EarthLink Business Services added that "QX.net enables us the opportunity to grow in their current markets and expand to other parts of Kentucky.”
